The Metro Basketball League is the premiere 5-on-5 basketball league taking place at the Olympic Oval.
Registration is $1500 per team (rosters of 10) and includes:

Official Metro Basketball League Game Jerseys - set of 10

Scoring and website status, standings and blog updates
Referees - two (2) referrees assigned to every game

Name: Vancouver Metro Basketball League
Where: Vancouver, British Columbia is home to the Vancouver Metro Basketball League, taking place at the world-class venue, Richmond Olympic Oval.
When: The Metro League takes place on Thursday nights and runs twice a year (Fall and Spring seasons). They take summers off due to the streetball and tournaments down at the Kitsilano Beach.
Level of Play: Most of our guys are ex-NCAA and college athletes from Canada as well as guys from the United States.
We are excited to announce the addition of a Divison 2 in the Metro Basketball League this year.
Who Plays Here? Several of their guys played professionally overseas and/or had quick stints in the ‘league’. One of the reasons they started the league was to pull in all of the men’s league players in the 2.2 million person city and give them a high profile place to play and treat them extremely well.
How to Join This League: You’ve got to know someone to get in the mix - they take pride in the quality of play as well as the presentation of the league so they like to invite new teams with players from the local college squads or guys that they run with in the offseason. There’s no nonsense - they’ll hire “real” refs, guys have to rock the Official Metro League game jerseys, they hook guys up with sweat towels on every seat, Gatorade at the end of the bench and scoring stats on the website and on Twitter feeds.
